Toddler Girl - Jiu Jitsu, or Taekwondo? Something Else? For Daughter

+1 for having your kid try a ton of sports/activities. My parents did that for me and I'm very grateful. During my elementary school years I tried: soccer, baseball, swimming, figure skating, tennis, art/drawing&painting, violin, piano, karate...not all at once lol, maybe 2-ish at a time.

self defense purposes, jiu jitsu is really good imo. My wife did it for several years, both kids did it for ~2 yrs. I did it for 6 months, got nauseous when tumbling repeatedly as part of warmups so i stopped lol.

This is why I say you're a different breed and I mean it as much as someone can make that compliment.

I'm not sure I would wanna be in a situation where I had to fight you.

Best martial art, Mr. Miyagi said it, best defense... don't be there.

Run fast. The best fights are the ones the don't even happen.
My sensei told us the same thing. Walk away from a fight, run away from a fight, if you have to. But, if there is no way to avoid it, end it fast with everything you have because you never know what might happen in a fight.

mine was an advocate of fighting dirty. he said ‘get ‘em on the ground, and then kick the shit out of them’. he emphasized techniques for both. total madman (made us practice by punching leaf springs, lol).

I prefer Mexican Judo. Judo know if I gotta knife, Judo know if I gotta gun, Judo know nothin'!
There's an account on instagram I follow which I can't pull up right now, I tried. But it's a few guys dressed up as stereotypical cholos explaining legitimate jiu jitsu techniques with stereotypical cholo slang. It's hilarious.

Hell, you might already know it.
