TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

Now I can't say about other PBS stations, but KDOC down here will be running the entirety of Burns' "American Revolution" on Saturday. We missed it on its first pass, so I'm gorging my DVR with it.

Also, programming note, for those who watch "Capitol 4th", which is the annual music and entertainment show performed at the US Capitol, and broadcast on PBS each year followed by DC fireworks, this year, for whatever reason, they're performing and broadcasting on the THIRD (Friday).

They're moving the fireworks to over Mt. Vernon, instead of the mall. Supposed to be the biggest show ever (as big as a show can be on a TV screen).

But anyway, bit rude to show up on the 4th and find it just not there. 5pm PST on PBS.

Happy 250th all!

house guest over the weekend. Their choice for Saturday night - Rectuma

I will never recover

Black Snow. Not your typical backwoods Australian crime drama. It’s got that pretty boy Calvin Klein supermodel from the early 2000’s in it, the one in Vikings. We binged both seasons, and will watch the 3rd when it comes out.

Since I got rid of my tv set I have no idea what's on these days.
I do have Netflix though and Paramount.

Everything except that pathetic cartoon ending shit.
wasn’t the only bit of cheesy comedy in the movie. interesting blend of light and heavy drama / suspense that kinda worked for me. but overall, i loved the concept. very new take on first contact. and i loved the deep connection and affinity that was made.

Hair Mary was really good. Though I think they could have chopped at least half an hour out and it would have still been just as good. What was that like almost 3 hours?

I enjoyed it. The rock dude was very cute.
I do agree it was damn long. Two nights to get er done.

yeah Avatar Fie and Ash finally hit streaming and am trying to think when I can sit down for 3+ hours to watch.

So TV show I am going to enjoy this weekend is the MacGregor/Holloway fight. figure either way it should be fireworks.

I started it last night and I'll hopefully finish it tonight. So far so good

watched hail mary last night. long. weird. LOVED it.
enjoyed it as well. Thanks to Valgar's reemergence and this movie, I have "it toots to scoot" stuck in my head all day

Hail Mary was a disney-sweet feel good kids movie with great CGI and a good lead actor.
My early teen enjoyed it, there wasn't much to it for me

Not even gonna bother with either of the sequels. I was underwhelmed with the first one as it is... I don't have faith I'll enjoy the others anymore. Plus they just waited too long since the first one...
