TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

Saw Anthropoid over the weekend. Based on the true story of the assassination of WWII Nazi general Reinhard Heyrich. Great movie, not an easy watch.

Learned a few weeks ago that the movie Fury was mostly a true story, except for a few small details. Brad Pitt plays Lafayette Pool and the tanks name was “In the Mood”.

Pretty neat stuff

We just watched “The Mercy”
That was a bit depressing

For anyone who likes documentaries, I can recommend "Freefall: A Reckoning for Boeing". Profits before people personified.

I attempted to watch Keven can f**k himself. It’s too dark accompanied by a laugh track.

Watching season 2 of Silo (to the extent I can commit to it). I like where it's going...

Watching the Recruit on Netflix.
CIA attorney thing. 4 episodes in.

Entertaining. Lead character is really good.

The Westies on MGM+ is excellent. It's about the Irish mob vs Italian mob in early 80s New York. Has J.K. Simmons as the Irish boss and Titus Welliver as a washed up cop on the take. Hamish Allan-Headley (bad SWAT guy from Mayor of Kingstown) plays John Gotti.

I am laid up for a few weeks recovering from a procedure and unable to do much physical activity. I will be digesting a lot of video.

Yesterday included a Joan jett documentary called bad reputation, very good, she is a genuine badass and seems like a great person.

Also watched iRobot, just okay, big Hollywood sci-fi robot AI production with Will Smith.

I have apple tv, netflix, prime video, HBO, so I should have access to all the crap out there.

I love dark/ intense SCI-FI,

can't stand military/war history, rom com, purposefully "dumb" comedy (think jim carrey style), silly pointless shoot em up stunt cgi action adventure (John wick, f&f, etc)
