Godspeed Mr. Chekov :rip

I really loved when he was looking for the Nuclear Vessel.

I’m a fan of the original Star Trek TV show and he was a crucial character to many episodes.

Remember that was back when the Berlin Wall was up and the Soviets were a big threat.

Including characters like Chekov and Sulu played by an Asian and Lt Uhura played by a Black female were ground breaking at the time.

For you Star Trek fans, Chekov is part of a plot hole in Star Trek II: Wrath of Khan.

When Chekov and Captain Terrell (RIP Paul Winfield) encounter Khan on Ceti Alpha V, Khan states he never forgets a face. Khan appeared on the first season episode "Space Seed". Koenig joined in season 2 so Khan remembering Chekov was an oversight on the filmmakers. Non-canon books tried to resolve this error.
