What Are You Thinking Of Right Now?

I’m thinking about my first car also purchased in 1976. 1955 Studabaker Commander.
I’m thinking about the roadtrips with friends and room for a standup base.

I'm thinking it sucks that my family didn't take more pictures. No pics of my early cars... not a single pic of my dad on a moto, even tho he road his entire life and had a gazillion different bikes... only a couple pics of me on a moto.
I know we had a camera... probably couldn't afford the film. :dunno

It feels like life started when I got that drivers license! :thumbup

My first car was '61 impala. Bought it for 1,250. Pretty much looked like this. Had a Telstar golden voice radio from what I remember. My brother called her the glass bottom boat, I called her Ursula

Tarantula manifolds 3 on the tree and everything had a clutch.

I think I want to know how that station wagon is coming along, Lonster

Yes..please
Slowly. There is a process to getting an engine running that has been sitting for 45years.
That, and I have a BUNCH of other things in that HAVE to get done before the serious wagon stuff starts.
I DID connect a battery to the '68, an had keys made from the original ignition, so I know that electricity flows without any smoke coming out.

Think of it often, really, think of a replacement...

First car 1985
RIP

My little one customized a hot wheels he had as a gift as a re-creation. Sweet.

To note:
- I don't know why the door and quarter panel look different blues, it all had a beautiful metallic blue.
- Playboy air freshener hanging from rear mirror (16yo in 1985 yo) :facepalm
- local rock radio station bumper stickers x3 :facepalm
- horribly welded in lower quarter panel rust patch :facepalm
- automatic column shift :facepalm
- "race" product stickers on the window for products I had none of :facepalm
- fake SS badges on front and back (got it that way) :facepalm
- vinyl top trim still on with no vinyl top (got it that way) :facepalm

Not seen:
- mismatched passenger fender and upper valence rattle canned black, front grill missing from high speed collision
- spun engine bearing
- bald right rear tire
- Budweiser bottle caps glued on AM/FM radio knobs
- air shocks jacked up to 80 PSI to get the ass end up
- smell.of stale beer in back seat carpet
- oil dripping from the end of the mufflers that terminated at the rear axle from so much burning oil blow by
- 4 wheel.drum.brakes that stopped worse than fred flintstone
- Good times had x 400 (the # of total days the car was on the road in the 8 years i owned it)

I used to have a 1953 Studebaker coupe which I thought to be way better looking than a hardtop. I had planned on making it into a hot rod. That never happened.

I was thinking of candied bacon. I made it a couple weeks ago with my GF for an upcoming mystery murder party for our Bloody Marys. She did not think it was crispy enough.

Today, we have burnt bacon. I'm torn on how to react to this.

my 5yo son ate an entire 7 piece package of bacon yesterday. my 7yo daughter ate an 8 piece california roll order by herself. i am so proud 🥲

i’m beginning to wonder if i’m actually related to my mother. it doesn’t seem possible.

on second thought - that’s total bullshit. i’ve thought that for a long time. since i was 6 to be exact.
