What's the pay it forward thread? WTG = Want To Give. In the spirit of the holidays and BARF being generally full of good people regardless of our other differences, I thought I'd start this and see where it goes. Please try to keep tertiary discussion to a minimum to reduce thread clutter. Rules are as follows, copied directly from the other thread.

1. If you accept the item, you must in turn give away something else of equal or greater value
2. Post "I'll take it" to secure the free item, and PM the person giving it away. This will help keep thread clutter to a minimum.
3. When you receive your free item, post the item that you are giving away (post it in this thread)
4. If you fail to ship your item, you get negative feedback...not sure how given BARF doesn't have an iTrader system like CG, but BARF's also a smaller community and word gets around pretty quickly.

Rules I'm adding:
5. Do not accept an item simply to make a quick buck. I shouldn't even have to make this a rule, but I'd really hope to not see anything someone gives away out of their own generosity pop up in a for sale thread on Craigslist.
6. Make it as easy as possible on the person giving stuff away. I'd say as a general guideline, if they're giving away something that can't fit in a backpack on one trip on a bike, the receiver needs to make the extra effort not the giver - ie, offer to pay shipping or come get the stuff you want in person.

Also, try to make your free item something a wide variety of people want. That being said, who knows what someone else may need or want. I'm reasonably sure anything can be worked out between people if there are items too bulky to ship easily or anything. Also, practical/useful items should take precedence over decorative, but to each his own. I'm just of the mindset that aesthetics/decorations are far more subjective than moto parts or whatever but that's just my personal feelings on this thread. If it works it works and my goal is to simply build the community a bit more. :thumbup

Starting things off...I have an Xbox 360 controller, rear cowl (dark silver) for an 06-07 GSXR 600/750, or rear seat for same. Also have a Mako grip for an AR15.

Maybe this is bass-akwards, but I can adapt. I would like the clothes to donate to an organization I've recently started volunteering for called World Impact.
In shortest terms, they set up a house staffed by a family in some of the most broken neighborhoods. The family provides a Bible based safe haven for kids to hang out, grab a meal get homework help and basically stay off the street.
Thee are several in Fresno and the neighborhoods have lots of kids of all ages. Baby clothes would be a nice Christmas gift to these folks.
My pay it forward, I may have already done. A member wanted a stock for a Mossberg shotty, we set a price and I asked him to not send me the money but to do a random act of kindness with it.
If I should, I can happily find a way to pay forward to someone else.
I'm in Fresno/Clovis and will pay the shipping on the clothes via Paypal or whatever works if this suggestion seems ok.

:laughing this happened in the other thread too. As nice as it would be to have things taken one at a time nice and linear, I'm all for helping each other out with again the only caveat being if you take something, give something.

Sorry you changed your mind. But I'll still do this:
How about this? I'll donate minimum 200 rounds of the elusive 22LR ammo to whoever wants to take a youngster shooting for the youngsters first time. I think I can UPS using an ORM-D Label but we'll work it out.

Free: Eight $1 carwash tokens to the place next to SCC on El Camino in Santa Clara. They ended up in my change jar, and I'm almost 900 miles away. :laughing

i bet claiming those would cost more than just buying some... that's a good DIY spot, one of the few that lets you de-grease an engine.

You could probably mail those for a dollar or two in an envelope. Kinda funny though.

OK - a couple contributions!

1. Grill - Works Great, wife wanted a nicer looking one in our backyard (Does not include propane tank though)

2. Jones New York Suit - Size 42 Regular Jacket with 33 waist, 32 inseam pant. Good condition, I paid like $200 for it. Would work for someone's kid or something trying to get a few first interviews. It was the first suit I had about 8 years ago. I never really wore it after. No holes or smells or anything.

3. I also have two other suits that are the same size you can have if you want them. They were expensive, from Franco Uomo in the mall. About $500 each. They are real nice, good condition, maybe worn a dozen times each. Same thing, size 42 Regular Jacket with 33 waist, 32 inseam pant. One is black and one is black with copper pin stripes about 1cm apart.

Ducky - suits are a great idea. Lots of people trying to land a job without being able to drop coin on a suit. Ill have to dig one up that no longer fits
