Oh yeah been a known bad thing for ages. even be aware of batteries shipped in your chinesium goods from our favorite chinese websites they can be dangerous.
 
I made a platform for our (Absolutely, batshit-f-ing crazy) husky so that she can get treats from my neighbor Joyce. Our beloved dog Annie (RIP baby) used to be able to get pettins from Joyce without needing a platfom. Skye the (Absolutely batshit-f-ing crazy) husky isn't as tall so she needed a lil lift. Any time Joyce is in her yard, Skye, the (Absolutely batshit f-ing crazy) husky, jumps on the platform ad looks for treats. As you can see, the fence takes a rather dramatic step downward. This is because when I was replacing the fence I had planned to make it taller. Joyce basically cried and so I changed plans and made it so she could still pet the doggies. The platform is pure shite in terms of quality, but I used left over pieces of wood and cut nothing. It works though. :D

Dogs absolutely love these things.

They love having something they can stand on and look over the fences.

Of course, our dog, tried to make the leap from the platform over the fence (to wit we came home to him with blood all over his leg, and his knee torn open -- with a big, stupid grin on his face). So, make sure they can't launch from it. But boy, do they love to look over.

We could always tell when our Mom was coming home, because our dog heard the car and would jump on to look over and see her coming.

Always fun driving around down to see other dogs doing similarly.

Dude bro! I am an aspiring 3D modelling guy. Using Solid Edge because that's what we use here. It's hard for an old manufacturing guy but I'm trying!!
 
I'm happy you went right to the modeling part, because that's really what 3d printing is, imo. People naturally think 3d printing is about buying the right machine, or tuning settings, material type....pffft...that stuff is all nonsense. The effort surrounding 3d printing, is modeling.

I'm using OnShape, but my projects are really simple, squares and circles and whatnot.

Pretty much all large and/or non-standard size orings are "custom" made, where you buy linear stock and then glue or melt them together depending on the material type. The orange polyurethane is nice because you just use a lighter to melt the ends and stick them together, but the regular buna material is normally glued, which if you ever have to do that, the black max from loctite works well.
