I feel better than yesterday. Not much appetite so I may just fast.

Rehab check day with my physical therapist.
I will start with my own 11 month evaluation just because I think I am important in the equation. :laughing

I apologize for complaining so much lately. Internally I really am hopeful.
 
No apology needed and it has not been that much at all.

I have a friend that just had her birthday yesterday. She is in the hospital after having a stroke. I am not super tight with her so not all clued in but enough to know she is coherant. She returned a text I sent wishing her well. She asked about my movie project and Danny (L8Braker) so I sent her a clip.

She thanked me for a moment of normalcy and said she enjoyed it a lot.

No visits until she gets transferred to a rehab facility. I know her son and I am glad he is probably providing some contact to the outside world. Poor woman had an infection with a knee replacement and spent 7 mos in a hospital so she has done some crappy alone time already. That sucks.

@Melissa, I believe your work in itself is difficult and I am often amazed at your positivity. We live in a time of underlying stress and that in itself is a lot to manage.
This thread and the folk that participate in it have gotten me through some of my most challenging times.

Where are you these days? Are you teaching? Doing research? If memory serves, you completed and graduated with a Ph.D?
