Oh, you mean the Chinook that arrived almost a FULL HOUR after the attack? That's a pretty loose definition of "behind".

I think the constant viewing of the video showing us inspecting the impact area — and the fog of memory over 12 years — made me conflate the two, and I apologize.

I may have been in the air also at that exact moment, somewhere between Oakland and Seattle. Had it been an ICBM fired at that chopper and missed I may have been in harms way.
