2011 Cadillac CTS-V Stolen 8.5.26 - FOUND 8.19.26 but destroyed

@budman you are a better person than me. If I had the chance to buy that car it would already be in my driveway and damn the consequences. That car is just too sexy to pass up. It just stands out in the field of boxy super cars with its voluptous lines. I envy you your opportunity and am here to egg you on. Is there anything precluding you getting a secure storage space to store your documents and empty out that garage? It would be worth the money to park that beauty inside and to also hire armed guards to shoot any car thieves.

All I can think about is seeing my ex driving north on 101 and flipping him the finger. @budman, if I see you driving that thing on the highway you bet I’ll give you a twofinger salute but with a giggle and a smile. I love having a secret handshake :laughing

What model is this Bud?
It is the Vantage.

There might be a chance to move stuff out of the garage to the small industrial space I need to rent to finish off my biz life and also keep my moto life collected. I will be looking for a 400 - 800 SF space in a while.

The thing is the Mrs. for now needs to access files. Some anyway. We will see.. If that can work for her I would be on top o' the world.

If the car "moves" you Budman, you should get it.

Most vehicles don't. Some may go "oh wow", but it doesn't last. They don't haunt.

But there are those select few that do. Those ones that you imagine yourself driving down a older downtown, just to look at yourself in the windows.

If you have to park it in the driveway, perhaps a car cover will help.

When my truck was stolen, I remember blowing the entire insurance check on a VFR. A bike I "knew" I'd never be able to have, yet there it was. My friend insisted I buy a car, but he didn't Know. Never regretted buying that bike.

Pretty soon Budmans going to have to post a picture of his new whip in the Cars that make your jaw drop thread. Just saying.
I posted those pics there a while back. Knowing that I would have an opportunity to be foolish and selfish (sorry grandkids) it was the fantasy. Now that the building is in contract and Bubba was stolen the opportunity is coming and it will be something. The Mrs loves BLUE (the Cayenne) and I honestly do not. There are so many things I dislike about it for me. The plan is to pass BLUE to her to replace her 10yo BMW X3 and I get something new. Certainly a new CTSV could be in the mix, but... they are not speaking to me like the AM is. :dunno where I will go, but I appreciate all those egging me on! :laughing

Ok. Not bought but we are talking cars again. :teeth

That is the car I do want and in a few months could buy. To me…. A bad ass classy OG ride.
Not evil cool but really fucking cool.

I am selling my life (building) and could. Should??
If I had a garage for it I would have already visited our man in Los Gatos just to get my juices committed to a poor decision but one that “this is the time” if I am ever going to do it. Fact is I don’t have a garage available and it will go in the driveway.

Everything I am says that is stupid and something really cool can be had for less than 1/2 the cost but… my gut says I will be dead in 10 so this won’t come around again. All that shit.

Damn :facepalm
Pretty sure we're all gonna need a sound-bite of that beast.

City of Menlo Park Code not allowing a bigger garage? Find some guys, all get speaker cards and show up at a Council meeting!

I can provide you a garage and armed security

When looking for a new home, don’t forget to look in Willow Glen.

I have a garage but it is full of files and shit from my office. There is some dumb rule that architects have to keep that shit for ten years :rant.

I have to keep paying liability insurance for ten years too.

I am casually looking for another home. We had talked about being in this one for ten years but the stair incident made us both decide to just keep our eyes open for a single story and a 3 car garage.

Well the 3 car garage is my take.

Go get a boat storage unit, it will change your life.... I can sell you a VERY small inflatable boat and trailer and racks to store the 'files' so whatever you need. And rent is cheap!

california does not require your documents to be physical. get scanning and make room for the AM!

How long would it take to scan a garage full of documents. I’d pay someone the cost of the AM to do it before I’d tackle it myself

How long do the documents need to be kept? You might be able to throw some away.
