2026/2027 NFL Thread

Nervous, ey? :laughing
Every god damned year. One year we stay healthy Super Bowl, then it strikes and down we go. Who fucking ruptures their achilles jogging onto the field? Must be some crazy voodoo curse on the new facilities. Are we sure we didn't build it on some kind of ancient burial ground? Move that shit already and lets get over this injury curse.

Nice to be watching the real deal.
Seahawks offense is still sleeping.
Defense is easier to learn/play than offense. Offenses typically take couple of games to find their groove especially now that starters play like one series in the preseason. Disappointing finish by Maye/Pats.

Yeah... Guess Darnell is not out for the Season.. supposedly.

Listening to Sports Talk Radio the 9ers doing stuff in Australia seems to be favorable to the fans.
We will see how many red or blue jerseys actually show up tonight.

I'll disagree with you.
You can set up defensive tactics, but it takes a long time to master because it's reactive. To make things worse, other teams will find the holes in the defense, then they need to retool, but there are a bunch of moving parts, it requires a bunch of guys to change the way they've been reacting to the actions of the offense, just one guy gets it wrong and you're screwed.

Early in a season generally defenses are considered to have an edge.

I agree.

Rookies can jump in on defense and their natural talent and basic instinct can have them making a big impact right away too.

Offensesis much more complex and learning the play book and timing and the feel takes a minute.
For sure a very talented running back or wide receiver can make an impact quickly.

Looks like the 9ers are stomping the Lambs. M Garett doesn’t even show a tackle in the box score.

9ers living large and the crowd is too. Nice to see.

Having two guys injured already sucks.

No joke, what genius thought they could beat jet lag. Dude should be fired.

Rams did the day-before strategy for a London game a few years ago and won the game. However, they stayed on the East coast the week before the London game and NY-London is only 6 hours not 15hrs like LA-Melbourne

Niners can have a real shot this year if they don't turn into:

But that has been their story for a few years running now. Talent and Coaching didn't seem to be the problem.
