Monaco this Sunday 🏁
Going back a few years here's a first for ya. Watched my first F1 race in 1962 on a new RCA Victor 21" Color TV. Race was broadcasted on ABC's Wide World of Sports.
It was awesome! Back then was a certified kid car nut. Saved my daily school milk / ice cream bar money (10¢ / day) for two weeks so I could buy
the latest "Road & Track" and "Hot Rod" magazines and have a little pocket change left over. Those "rags" were 35¢ each. At school a 1/2pt. carton of milk was 5¢,
Popsicles 5¢, Eskimo Pies and Fudgsicles were 7¢.
.
Lots of changes since then.
Bruce McLaren (Cooper-Climax) won the race, Phil Hill (Ferrari) in 2nd and Lorenzo Bandini (Ferrari) in 3rd.

Antonelli looks like the real deal.

Hamilton number two in the point standings is unexpected but Russell is cratering.

And Leclerc had an horrific result...as bad as Verstappen in the end.

Hadjar kept his third.

Because of Cadillac being last in the pits, it reshaped the exit. So drivers were cutting over and getting hit going 60.1km/w

^^^^^
Now that is funny.

First back to back weekends... :banana :banana

Barcelona this weekend. LeClerc has changed his brake rotors from Brembo to Carbon Industries (a change that Hamilton made back at the Japan race). They both still run with the Brembo Calipers.

Also read that FIA has determined that Red Bull/Ford have the most powerful ICE motor. So, this gives Mercedes the opportunity to improve their ICE motor (along with Ferrari, Audi and Honda (Aston Martin)). Red Bull is pissed. Apparently, FIA added new a clause to give Aston Martin even more then they would have due to their poor performance.

Where is one of those "equity/ equality" posters for Aston Martin?

Alpine has been granted a review of the Monaco penalties. Those results could change.

Merc getting to update their ICE suggests a larger part of their advantage is in the other parts of the PU - electric motor, battery, recharge and deployment tuning. I didnt see this one coming. I’m shocked these rules don’t cover the whole PU.

Gasly is back on the podium for Monaco.

Other teams have likely missed the window for an appeal. And it wouldn’t matter for anyone that served their penalty on track.

Good on Pierre. Glad to see him on the podium.

Interesting qualifying.

Hulk in the top 10.

Hamilton once again surprisingly close to the top.

Hadjar seems to be the most competitive teammate Verstappen has had in recent years.

Spoilers!!
