It was great to see all of you. Julie and I had a pretty good day, doing our thing. Gurka, I still owe you a ride together and will make good on that soon. :thumbup
 
Fun time had by gurka, ripter, and me! Never met either one before, and riding with them was stellar. Too bad 1) Cabrito overslept and didn't show; and 2) Lunch Box blew us off halfway through the ride so he could...well, ask him about it....
It might be a long time until Reif is cleared all the way to the Zero Ton Bridge. We gave it a good shot though. So friggin close......

Beautiful day for a ride


Obstacle #1. Passable over on the far right side with a fair amount of pushing, lifting, and pulling.



Made it to the other side! Before we committed to the effort, we had the old "go/no go?" discussion. You win some you lose some.


General shots of the trail conditions. Actually these aren't the worst spots. Too much fun riding to stop and take photos.


No friggin way. Big chunk of the hillside covering maybe 30-40 feet of the road. Gonna take some earth moving equipment to clear that. It was painful to turn around after getting so close.


Glory Hole is still going off! Pretty cool to see it in person.
Oh, and in 1997 some girl from Davis swam too close and got swept down it (to her death). After holding onto the lip for an estimated 20 minutes.

I've marked on the map where the obstacles were for anyone else riding through here. Marker "002" is the total washout where there is no way to pass the road or trail anymore. That's where we had to turn back and ride back up all the way to Morgan Valley Rd.

She did great. The Knoxville OHV road was a bit rough in parts and she managed to make it through. She did get stuck in a mud bog once. I'll post a pic here soon. Out and about right now.

That was a pretty good one. Stony should be a bit more dry in a couple of weeks when we're there again.

Here's Julie, buried to the axle in the rear. It wasn't easy getting that bike out, and that mud was well above the knee in a few spots. :wow

@Leo_jb - the ride home on those twisties was so nice. No traffic at all till we hit the Interstate. The lane splitting on the 80 into SFO was super smooth flowing. Remember that car that changed lanes right in front of you? I was thinking... this is it. Glad you avoided that close call man.

That was a beautiful stretch of road. But yeah, that incident on 80 was a bit too close for comfort - hate the fucking interstate. Good thing I try to keep a reasonable delta when lane splitting.
 
It's gonna be wet, that doesn't bother some people
 
If I go I'll probably turn around after the ohv section. I don't have enough time to do the entire Reif Rd circuit
