Or, I may just head to Carnegie. I want to see if my exhaust passes muster with the rangers.
 
If anyone wants to join, i'll be at Turtle Rock around 11-12. Not going to do the whole loop. Just through Knoxville to lower lake then head back. I'll be on my Husky.
 
I rode Knoxville today and ran into a couple of guy's up there and had a great time. Only a couple of spots that were pretty deep mud holes.




 
Total fancy bike fest!
I did Carnegie since it's less freeway riding and a little more dirt bang for you buck versus time from my location.
For those interested, it was not that muddy, just a few surprise mud holes.

I was going to join them, but my bike isn't pretty enough and they sent me home. :laughing
 
I did the lower lake/Knoxville/Berryessa/pope valley loop two weeks ago. Some of the Knoxville fire roads are pretty chewed up from the trucks running through the mud holes. There were three active water crossings on the way to the lake, all slippery to my judgement. One tree down, but I was able to get around.

You folks still planning to ride tomorrow? Thinking of taking my "new" xr400 for a shake down in the morning.
 
Well I'm heading out from sonoma county, but I'm getting a late start. Trucking the bike to the bridge at Pope Canyon and Knoxville Berryessa, but I wont be there until closer to 9-9:30. I'm on a white xr400.
 
I got a late start so didn't get up there until after 10am. I rode up from the Pope Canyon bridge and turned off at the Knoxville OHV sign. The first part of that road has been graded since the last time I went through before the fires, and all the roads I took were easily passible. Some ruts from the rain, but nothing major at all. My xr400 did great although I will plan to make some suspension changes before baja in January.

Ride was good. We made it to the dirt start around 9am. One downed tree leading to hunters camp, but not too bad. Enough room to push through small branches on left side. Rode to the waterfall, water was great!

Rest of the road north was good. Not too rutted, rocky but that's expected. Didn't have time for Reiff road as we were getting hungry, so rode to clear lake and popped into a pizza place in first town there.

Overall a great day. Weather was perfect!
 
glad to hear it. I think I may head up that way this weekend if work doesn't get in the way.

Crockett is a cool place. Funky vibe for sure.
