I just placed a deposit on a Chinese Unicorn!

Ms. G, how's that unicorn treating you?

One day I’ll write up something on the giggle machine. In the meantime, the little Unicorn sends me messages.

Giggles machine?

Giggle Machine... 'nuff said...

No further review needed. (y)

Finally, ownership established, Comm Link hot, & Ride Requests Recorded,
This is what I wanted to know, How Needy will the bike get?
I have foreseen all this nagging, and bailed, Didn't want to get THAT involved.
But, Do Tell, , ,

Let me tell you about my little Ibex.
I love this thing and believe that it will be my forever bike. It suits me fine, not too tall, not too underpowered not horible on the highway absolutely predicatable and trust worthy on unpaved sections. That said, not sure that the Ibex is for everyone.

Let's start with the geometry of the bike and compare them to what seems to be the biggest choice buyer's face. Ibex 450 vs T7.
CFMOTO Ibex 450 Geometry Specifications
Here are the primary chassis and dimension details:

As one can see, on paper the Ibex is a tiny version of the T7 but paper can sometimes lie. My first impression of the Ibex upon seeing it for the first time was "Holy shit! this thing is huge!" It's no, it just has this enormous fuel tank 4.8 gallons that gives it a bulky appearance. Trust me, this is a bike best viewed from the side.
One really doesn't notice the differences until compared side by side in real life.

The Ibex is surprisingly agile and sure footed in all sorts of terrain. I took a bad line and wound up in a pretty challenging rock wash. My ass was saved by the Ibex's sure footedness and better than average suspension. I made it out of the section just fine but...

That 4.8 gallon fuel tank is ridiculous for a bike that easily delivers an average greater than 65 mpg. Idiot me filled up before leaving on a relatively short unpaved path. I made it through the field of baby heads only to drop the bike on a perfectly level patch of obstacle free road. :facepalm

Can someone who has ridden both the Ibex 450 and the Transalp XL750 compare the 2?
They seem VERY similar is specs....
