Im >60 and found my unicorn bike 2k miles away.

Ha! We do have similar tastes in bikes considering some of the bikes we've owned. It's entirely possible that you owned this one. It's my second one and maybe you ended up with my last one back in 2000? This one I have now has changed hands a few times since I've seen it for sale in Boise, and in one of the Carolina states where it was sold at auction. It's been around.

I can't wait to see what you have planning this time around.
 
Im fortunate that the bike is located only 15min from a family member who recently relocated to that state.

I'll post more info tonight.

an ’89 Yamaha XTZ750 Super Ténéré would certainly bee a unicorn, and a suitable replacement for having to sell the FZR 400 ... :laughing
 
yes, I was just trying to come up with a Yamaha guess somewhere in the Venn Diagram of a Honda XRV750 and a Caviga Elfant.

I suspect the 150 mile range is a bit of a red herring ... guess we'll see when all is revealed. :ride

like the DR Big guess, but also kinda expect that we are not talking about a single-cylinder bike, cuz that maybe would have been mentioned as a consideration for the 2K ride ...?

anyway ... fun to speculate about. :angel

edit: also I see that Mr @augustiron beat me to the punch with the XTZ750 guess.

probably ... but he has had that nice, yellow, FZR 400 in his garage for a while.

and the last time we played this game with Mr Cafe Racer I seem to recall it was for some Japanese uber-sportsbike (a 2024 Yamaha R1M, maybe?) ...

so ... who knows? :laughing
