Only pay for power directly in the condo, water and gas and trash all come out of the rather spendy hoa bill.
 
I am up at Lassen and having a hard time getting motivated to load up and head over to Stonyford. It is an hour and a half away.

And, this is good…
The "dark side of the moon" is actually the far side of the Moon, which receives just as much sunlight as the near side but always faces away from Earth due to tidal locking

My utility splits my electricity into equal installments. I currently pay $103 a month for electricity. But that was adjust down from $242. Water is “free” from the well other than a $160 service each spring and I’ll be out $5k when it’s time for a new pump.
Garbage is $28 a month.
 
My water bill used to be about 75 bucks. Now it's $130.... And I thought we're doing something wrong. :🤔

Yes, we've increased usage slightly, but much of the increased price is actually wastewater sewage and per gallon price increase.

I also have to go to home Depot. .. buy some Drano.. or similar, to put down the main drain in the garage.

Anybody think that will have a measurable or noticeable helpful effect?!?!?
 
Drano helps with hair clogs and small things like that, but what we have found at our houses that had backups like that was that Roots had grown through the pipes.
We had to call out a plumber to waterJet them, and now have that as annual maintenance, along with adding foaming root killer down the drain four times a year

That's literally where Roto Rooter get's its name from.
Those old clay pipes just act as underground hydroponic systems.
