Breaking it with… looking for you approval.
You had it... until the walnuts. :laughing

Fyi, if you think about it, the main purpose of intermittent fasting is to lower blood sugar spikes throughout the day (to reduce insulin resistance). So breaking your fast with anything that spikes your blood sugar would be counter productive.
When I'm working my program (which I'm currently not, btw) I save what little carbs (sugar) I consume for the evening meal. That way I'm only spiking my blood sugar once a day, and even then, not very much. :2cents

* I'm just trying to help with my first-hand knowledge of the subject. I really don't care what anyone eats. But if someone commits to working a program, I'd like to see them be as successful as possible. :thumbup

Well... they are high in the good fats and I waited until all the protein was consumed.

Well I did go 16 hours so spikes were limited. I am spiking it several times I guess. Most days twice sometimes 3. My favorite spiker is vodka. :teeth

Appreciate it. Nice to hear others thoughts.
I have hanged with some very high end athletes over the years and sort of collected my current path from Mr. America over 50 (who had a mad diet) and athletes that needed food for performance vs. body shaping.

I am performance shaping. I suppose :laughing

Realizing how much of our hunger is psychological was wild to me.
Most middle to upper class Americans have never experienced hunger. They confuse a drop in normally high blood sugar as hunger. Once I got my blood sugar under control, I'd actually forget to eat. :laughing

What you're doing is fantastic for maintenance!
But, if you want to lose weight (I believe you said you do) you just have to go harder for a month or two, then go back to maintenance. Your body figures out what you're doing and tries to compensate. The last thing your body ever wants is to lose weight!

I hear you. I can give up any food easily, it's not at all important to me.
But the drinking is definitely my achilles heal, and I can put it away... the curse of the Irishman! :staRang
