I went mtn biking with my old college friend yesterday. Perfectly healthy guy that spent a couple of years in the navy when he was 18. He hated it so much he was able to get out early. Anyways, he just let me know that he was able to convince the VA that he has PTSD and is 100% disabled. So now he gets 4800 bucks a month for life, free college so he can go get his PhD, free car registration, etc. His wife is also 100% disabled from the VA and she is a nurse. Neither of them have any physical ailments and he has never once mentioned his "PTSD" or issues ot me in the 30 years I have known him. I am not entirely sure how to classify our friendship anymore. I hate scammy people and they now feel like scammy people to me.
 
This is a guy who has a masters degree, has started a few businesses, and is perfectly functional physically and mentally. I can't say it's fraud, but it's something.

There are plenty of truly disabled so, yeah, this is theft adjacent.

I too could not hang out with such a person.

Bragging about it makes it that much worse.

no one really knows what lurks in the hearts, minds and souls of humans. Most people would not want to find out even though they say they do.
 
Also caffeine and then workeine. Nice weather had us busy yesterday so hopefully it'll be another busy day that flies by today.
