Well that precisely what a good manager should avoid, "shit" should stop at them. At least thats what I have always believed in.as they say, shit runs down hill. His manager is stressed so my supervisor is stressed. Now I am stressed.
But it will all be forgotten in a few years. I wish I did not give the situation so much power.
I worked at jobs I didn't like for years so my kids wouldn't lose their health coverage. But since I have little to no filter, everyone involved was always fully aware of my thoughts on the situation.![]()
I am now also on my amazing wife's amazing insurance, as I am a sahfa (stay-at-home-and-fuck-arounder)My wife is the breadwinner while I enjoy the sahd life because her insurance is amazing.

Well once trust in the team is built, you can really say whatever you want. In other words, candor comes after trust and candor does not mean toxic workplace. Candor and psychological safety go hand in hand actually.I worked at jobs I didn't like for years so my kids wouldn't lose their health coverage. how are you, buddy? How's the knee coming along? Are you Melissa’s manager?![]()
Doing Ok. The knee hurts a bit, but not too bad now. Have a follow-up appointment tomorrow, where I’ll get stitches out and perhaps get cleared to begin putting a little weight on it. Doing exercises has been pretty easy; the hard part has been to not over-do anything. This repair would be easy to wreck until the healing really gets underway and with cartilage, that takes a while. While there might be sensible limits once healed, I should be able to do anything I would normally do, without worrying the thing will lock.how are you, buddy? How's the knee coming along?
have you modified your diet at all to account for this healing? or are you still a sardine snacking man?Doing Ok. The knee hurts a bit, but not too bad now. I tried to time this so I’d have a fighting chance to ski or ice climb this winter. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m eating lightly, but emphasizing protein and veggies. Sadnines now and then, as they’re a quick snack and very bioavailable. Eggs, cottage cheese, fruit, etc. Since the surgery, I’ve lost almost ten pounds. Trying to ride the catabolic wave, but eat enough protein that my body won’t break down its own muscle for the amino acids it needs to heal. So far, I think it’s working. The combination of fixing the knee while getting lighter is good.have you modified your diet at all to account for this healing? or are you still a sardine snacking man?
