new toy.. bought this '09 450 exc last weekend. Its never been in dirt, but i'm going to change that tomorrow. Will look at other threads for SM days!

I don't think mine's been in the dirt either. It still has factory tires on the dirt wheels, no way do I trust them.

is that a WR450F? we must have gotten hella lucky. Dirt wheels have more dirt on them from sitting than from anything else.
 
Yep, 03 WR450F. Apparently it was plated in TX and brought in with "7600" miles on it, so they let it get the plate ~5 years ago.

It took some maintenance, a lot of cleaning, and a fair amount of painting but I got her looking pretty decent. 06 SM610 Unknown Miles but still running hard, and a '12 model english retriever with low mileage

Nice wr bro. In the process of changing out my tires, chain, rotor, and sprockets. Can't wait to get it back together. One of the previous owners got it plated, not sure how though.

I have a '08 KLR, and always loved the SM look. As Ive been riding more and more, I've grown to dislike the sluggish feel of and the deflective properties of the front 21" wheel. Warp 9 supermoto wheelset with some avon distanzias later, Ive got this. (some before, some afters). I can flat foot it now, and it really feels more lively turning. I need to shorten my kickstand and recalibrate the speedo, or go to a vapor computer setup.

On that note, bring on the :laughing:laughing:laughing:laughing:laughing since it's a KLR.......

because all Ive got to say is :twofinger:ride:ride:ride
