September 25, 2026 - Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. announced today that it will display and conduct an exhibition run of its YE-01 Racing Concept at the Monster Energy FIM Motocross of Nations 2026 (MXoN 2026), to be held in Ernée, France, from October 2. This initiative is aimed at eventual participation in MXEP, an electric motocross racing series scheduled to launch in the near future.

The YE-01 Racing Concept has been jointly designed with French electric motorcycle manufacturer, Electric Motion SAS (EM).Developed under the concept of "Expanding the Possibilities of Riders and Machines," the YE-01 Racing Concept incorporates YZ450F chassis technology and expertise accrued over decades of racing with EM's power unit technology, and aims to preserve the core appeal of motocross while proposing a new form of enjoyment that leverages the unique characteristics of electric power. The exhibition run will provide an opportunity to see the appeal of the vehicle and the potential of electric motocross.YE-01.png

Looks alloy-ish.
Hopefully all the fasteners aren't French cheese.

I think the E-MX thing could bring tracks back to the Bay Area or other more urban areas.
At that point it would just be dust control for the Karens to worry about.

Hope such happens.

Trying to imagine the starting line, all silent.
No noise with special hydrocarbons of blendzall wafting across the breeze ? Nope,
Just the smell of ozone, little electrons dying from use, and some dirt roost thrown into the air, , ,

Absolutely. Wanna go in on some dirt in the inner city?

Probably a question for the garage section, but only like 10 people go there..

So what is a reasonable date code age on new tires when you buy them brand new from a national chain store?
Consider it a popular tire in a fairly popular size that hasn't changed in a few years.

This is what I get for trying to "shop local".

A very fine barf sponsor saw me hunting and offered to sell and ship the tires for about what I paid in the end anyway, but I'm an idiot who still thinks it is worth my time to walk into brick and mortar stores when available.

To kill the suspense
Road 6 dated 35 and 44 / 25 respectively

25 is fine, and you're right to shop at places willing to stay open when only 2-3% of registered vehicles are motos. Good choice of tire, you'll appreciate them, especially when it rains.

So long as they're stored out of sunlight/ direct sun; 3 years for a road tire isn't bad. 1 year old is fine, IME.

Direct sunlight (heat cycles) ain't good for tires. When you see trackside guys parking their tires in the sun then taking them home at night, it's bad news eventually for whomever buys those tires. They do it cause it makes mounting them easier....

If yer gonna combine "ain't" and "whomever" and "cause" in a post, you gotta get 'er dun write Berto...

“Whomever” is the objective case, while “whoever” is the subjective case—but the easiest way to see it is to look at the role the pronoun plays in the clause.
Your sentence:
“...it's bad news eventually for whomever buys those tires.”
The pronoun is the subject of “buys.” You can test it by replacing it with “he/she”:
He buys those tires. ✅
Him buys those tires. ❌
Therefore, whoever is correct:
“...it's bad news eventually for whoever buys those tires.”

Ah yes John, the primary reason I return to BARF each time: grammar lessons from an accredited teacher who's wished financial ruin envelope my life. I suppose for those in the profession of grammar perfection, "whomever" misused is akin to taking Warren's baseball (Have you seen it?). You'll be excited to read: I'll never have a need to distinguish between the razer thin line of "whomever" and "whoever" given the company I keep. Only on an internet motorcycle forum in a thread titled "Random motorcycle thoughts unworthy...", a place of distinguished men and women, would I find the ostracization of that poor, mistreated and misunderstood "M" in my word usage. Hopefully someone will take the crushed and unconfident "M" in for the night...and give it warm food, bed, and shower. I can hear it's tears as I type...

I can only bring sadness to heart: that poor M is gonna be pretty lonely without it's real friends: W H O E V and R.

N'joy youre knight mai frenn!
