I enjoyed A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms so much my brother suggested I try House of the Dragon.

Trainwreck which has descended into being ridiculous and unwatchable.

Don't bother unless you are a died in the wool GoT fan.

Started watching Black OPS on Hulu. British comedy. Not bad at all.

House of the Wyvern is good. All those dragons in the GoT universe are wyverns, not dragons. I am right and yes this is a hill I'm willing to die on.

I dare to say I like that show more than some seasons of GoT. Maybe because there's less characters to keep straight in your head.

The book was a slog also. Martin will do anything rather than finish a Song of Fire and Ice. I swear I am waiting for there to be a broadway show with his god damned name on it.

I stopped being concerned with what he is (or isn't) doing with the books years ago. It became unnecessary frustration to me.

really probably better for my heart rate to take that route but every time someone mentions a book by him the hatred comes screaming back up from the abyss I shoved it into. Still haven't forgiven Robert Jordan for dying before finishing Wheel of Time and them having to cut it short and only two books although probably better than the 10 if he had stayed alive and finished it.

Don't get me started on Wheel of Time... :laughing

I decided he could fuck right off some time around 1991. Did the first two or three books, heard him say some shit about it taking at least 10 more years to finish the series, "FU, Hoss," I don't wait for stories, I'm out. Lemme see WTF R.A. Salvatore is up to.

Feel the same way about that streaming show. F'in LOVED it when it dropped, but it just sort of meandered away into forever waiting for what is next and lost interest.

The idea and premise of the show was interesting and it started well. It just couldn't hold my attention and I'm not exactly sure why.

I really like Kleo even though it wasn't supposed to be a comedy. I thought Jella Haase's portrayal was quite entertaining.
NPR:
We find the latest example in Netflix's thriller Kleo, a cheerfully murderous German series that will make you think of Killing Eve. Here's why: Its heroine, Kleo, is a cocky female assassin who wears wigs, struts around in disguises and knocks people off to the accompaniment of pop songs. Set shortly before and after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, her story equally recalls Tarantino movies like Inglourious Basterds and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood that fool around with historical facts. It puts a playful spin on the end of communism.

I watch this show, and I really like it! The French is hard to catch, what with the speed they are speaking, but I always use CC because I am half deaf so that helps a lot. It is 1000% better than the American version, which is called Patience.

Will watch! The trailer cracked me up

Same reason that lovely LotR show on Prime is crapping out. You cannot lag that bad on production and expect to to hold people's interest. If you want to wait a year between producing seasons, you need more than 8 Hours of content.

(36) 30 minute episodes of a sitcom type production will keep people busy a lot more than (8) 1 hour epic episodes while they wait ofr a year to be stimulated again.

2 Years between season releases? No TV show can sustain an audience with that, those gaps are for feature films.

Watched Crime 101 on Prime, that was right up my alley.

Bit of a slow burn heist/police procedural. Helmsworth reminds me a lot of his character from Blackhat (I actually like Blackhat).

Halle Berry reminded me of Gloria Reuben in this role.

I also watched the movie "Denial" on Netflix. A move about the libel suit brought by a Holocaust denier against an academic.
