What Are You Thinking Of Right Now?

I’m thinking that I’m truly wiped out tonight. Mentally and physically. Spirit is good, though.

Three weeks in the hustle and bustle of sf was so good yet so taxing. I’m glad to listen to the sound of rain on my roof and not much else.

These couple of weeks past the Spring solstice have triggered much new growth in the garden.

Anyway, the RC 51 my bud has in long term storage calls me in my dreams. Eventually he'll sell because he can no longer physically ride the beast, neck vertebra is out of spec and causes pain.

Will I be physically capable of riding that rodeo monster? Seventy-four is the new sixty-four, right? RIGHT?

Spring, what I was saying, the first rose blooms are deep red/velvet and are the size of baseballs. And fresh thorns are very sharp.

Thinking of that Beatles song with a decade plus variation. Some mornings my body wants to remind me of pavement contact occasions and that the “new” 64 requires more physical warm up. But first another pour over.

I'm thinking I'm going to do something dumb and resurrect my 1970 Schwinn Super Sport, likely to the tune of $700 rather than buy a more modern bike for the same money if not less.

Nephew is coming out in the fall so want to do some bike riding with him.

Might even have the bike converted to a three piece alloy crank to lose a few pounds and "maybe" with the deletion of the one pound kickstand which I did in the 70s, get that pig's weight under 30 pounds.

Don't want to see it end up as scrap.

I lack the skills to do it myself.

Nerdy, botanical side note: Roses don't have thorns, they have prickles. Prickles are outgrowths of the epidermis (skin). :nerd

I’m thinking about the power of water and the magic created by the confluence of two gorges melding into one. Man, this earth is something!

Thinking at 58:00 I am switching to level 10.

We all have our defects and shortcomings, though.

My kid sister should be here soon for her extended visit. She’s 70 now. Bringing me some vodka, likely some wine, and some hash and diamond dust.

Though snow can be dangerous and a hassle sometimes, it can also be beautiful and peaceful, producing periods for insights and true peace in one’s life. Sometimes I miss it.
