What is the best sandwich?

The sugar ain't a good thing, indeed. But the oils, chemicals and petroleum products used are insanity....

I like Edo Japan but their food containers are shining with some nonstick chemical coating. Every meal probably the equivalent of smoking a cigarette in negative health effects.

I will try to recreate my grilled cheese egg sausage thing that I had this morning. Fresh sourdough. Killer

I had a really really good chili cheese dog yesterday. Maybe the best I've ever had. I can't remember the name of the place. It was a recommendation by a stranger in the hotel I was staying at. He just gave me the walking directions.

Hot dogs fit the definition of sandwich so... :teeth
If you are ever in AZ you owe it to yourself to get a sonora dog. bacon wrapped hot dog goodness.

Wasn’t Subway’s bread found to be double digit percentage sugar content.
Subway is completely disqualified, IMHO.

Few years ago, I saw an add, some classic italian sub combo. "Wow, that looks really good" and there was a Subway near the office, so I popped it.

inedible. Oh my, it was awful. I mean, all was not lost, at least it was expensive!

Dunno what they sell at Subway, but it's not sandwiches.

I think Subway's bread isn't technically "bread"...IIRC.

EU rules disallowed Subway bread to be called bread and labelled it as cake until they reworked the recipe. Had too many carbs to be in compliance with stringent EU food rules.
Thus their new artisan ciabatta. :green No thanx either way.

FYI, Sprouts sells take and bake breads under their brand name that has no ingredients that you would not add to your own. It's rather tasty to boot.

A) This question is dildoes. There is no best sandwich. There are too many of great worth and one must find the sando to fit your mood in the moment. I live a sandwich rich lifestyle.

B) Loaf bread in general is ass. I do not fuck with it. There is a bakery that makes fresh bread two doors down from the bodega that makes most my sandwiches a block from my place. Sometimes I get Pastrami and Rye shipped in from Katz's, just because sometimes you need to. Even Safeway in the Bay Area seems to usually have decent baguette from local bakeries. You do not need to mess with trash bread. It tastes bad and is bad for you. Good bread is not expensive, keep a higher standard.

My wife loved Nob Hill french bread especially when it was fresh from the over she would make me buy some butter and then proceed to eat the loaf on the way home. Not sure how bad it is for her but she loved it.

Try a Tim Hortons, it’s worse than Subway. The bread looks plastic.

Reuben with bbq corned beef . Brodericks in Sacramento does them and I would knock down my kid for one.

I had to correct my mistake, is corned beef and NOT pastrami.
