Tesla Model 3: End of the Internal-Combustion Engine?

Damn

Why not both???

I guess Patel found out that the Tesla can do many things but they can't fly.

It all came down to how it landed, plenty of angles would have resulted in 4 deaths, they were extremely lucky.

I wonder if he told his passenger(s) what he was doing at the last second.

Apparently it is a frequent car crash site, and in the past susurvivors were very rare, it is truly amazing that all four passengers survived....

Makes me want to get a Tesla

They do have excellent crash ratings.

Regarding the 'free solar power vs paying for gas' angle: is the cost of installing solar on your house factored in?

Thirty-forty grand buy-in is a lot to cover by not buying gasoline.

After 5-7 years solar systems pay for themselves. YRMV

I don't see electricity rates lowering anytime soon in PG&E country.

I stand very well corrected. :thumbup
I was under the impression that solar installs were much more expensive.

God damn it now I need to seriously look at getting some panels on the house this year. Thanks for the extra work. :twofinger :laughing

I think the ROI is a little longer than that but hes not wrong

I’d say ROI depends on how much power a household uses and which tiers they get into. A household getting out of tier 1 and 2 will have a quicker ROI.

Apparently Tesla forgot to train their shitty FSD to handle snow.

The driver literally has to take over constantly, and when the FSD was in control it tried to crash into curbs, and other cars.

The fact that they are selling this shit to the public at all, and especially the fact that they are charging like 10k for it, is disgusting.

Really? Do you crash alot? It seems an expensive alternative to just paying attention.

Solar panel installation payback timeline:

Act quickly if you want solar panels installed. Dramatic changes are going to take place in a matter of months that will significantly impact the payback period. Net Energy Metering (NEM) 3.0 will be put into place that will lower the amount of credit you receive for excess power generated, thus extending your payback period.

Is there a better thread to post this info to?
