  • First modern African head coach, Art Shell
  • First Latino head coach, Tom Flores
  • First woman CEO of an NFL team, Amy Trask
  • Scouted from historically black college as they were mostly ignored by everyone else.
  • Never allowed the Raiders to play in segregated cities.
Look, there are many things I disagree with with Al Davis...moving the team, certain roster decisions, coaching decisions, etc. But he was an innovator both on and off the field and did a lot for the game. I do hope history will be kinder to Al as time moves on, but as long as the Raider haters and Davis hater still live, it's going to be a long road.

Yeah, you are about to get me started on my disdain for Don Coryell, which may help describe my general disdain for the AFC (far more Pass First and High Speed than typical old school NFC) even more.
