I'm a huge believer in no screen is better
All depends on how far and the weather you are riding in. I have ridden sport tour bikes for close to 30 years. On a 400 mile day the wind will beat you. Nate* try a windscreen on on a long ride and see how you feel at the end of the day. In the summer I cut my Multi screen down to the point it was just over the instruments, still kept some pressure off. I have always liked to look over my screen and not through it.Never had wind protection myself, dunno what I'm missing really.

True
When I bought my used 2008 wee storm it came with a ridiculous harley-like windshield which I immediately removed and put on a shelf for the entirety of it's life with me.... except...
For the one long weekend trip I had to make from Truckee to Seattle and back when it would be raining half the trip on the way up. I put that big stupid thing on and tried to hide behind it as much as possible, thankful to have some of the cold wet wind off me for a while.
I rode from Seattle to Truckee non stop on the way back, only getting off to pee a few times.
Ate snacks from the tank bag while riding, drank from the camelback while riding, fueled up still on the bike, spent some time at absolute top speed on the wee, laughing that I had the throttle pinned in top gear and wanting for more. (Doing that on previous more powerful bikes would have been insane)
Just to see if I could. That was a tough ride and I was thankful for the big, dumb, ugly windshield.
Because pix thread... Pic of Mom posing with the bike at the hotel in WA
