TV Shows I am enjoying …and Movies

I've been rewatching at the same time The Originals and Power: Force.

I'm a huge vampire nerd so a show about the original vampire/werewolf hybrid was a fun show. In Power, a gangster that is usually smarter than everyone else was a fun show.

Does it matter to me that the main actors are Joseph Morgan and Joseph Sikora and I like them because we have the same name? YES

Are these shows really good, ALSO YES.

Abundantly clear anything with Taylor Sheridan involved is a must watch- current example; "The Madison" with Michelle Pfeiffer & Kurt Russell.

SNL UK was pretty funny thought the last skit was clearly directed at a UK audience as it went right over my head.

Been watching the Tsunami: Race Against Time on the National Geographic.
More current interviews and stories mixed with historical.

Amazing stuff. Digging it.

Here's a couple of Excellent ones! (y)(y)

The Count of Monte Cristo - PBS, Masterpiece Theatre

Nuremberg - Netflix, Rami Malek, an American Army psychiatrist and Russell Crowe, as the Nazi Officer Hermann Göring.

I’ve been watching Life on prime. 2007-2008 cop show with Damian Lewis and because of current events I’m willing to watch Aahoo Jahansouzshai.😍

Wow! I just found out that YouTube has the most recent rendition of Zatoichi for free right now.
This was pretty good. Never seen Japanese tap dancing before. They lit it up at the end. :laughing

Count of Monte Cristo - Just finished it night before last! I really enjoyed it, even though it strays a bit from the book. Very lovely to look at, too.

Kind of went on an Ivan Sen bender and watched the Mystery Road movie (2013) then both seasons of the Mystery Road TV series (2018) then watched both seasons of Mystery Road: Origin (2025) which is a prequel for all the others. We also watched his movies Limbo and Goldstone. All of these are sort of the same, but they are all really good. Goldstone was a little different, maybe more shoot-em-up mainstream with a soundtrack instead of the stark quiet of the other offerings which I really enjoyed. The wild and bleak Australian opal fields are the star of the show in Limbo. Will be seeking out Sen's documentaries soon.

Dark Winds - an adaptation of Tony Hillerman's Leaphorn and Chee series of Navajo Tribal Police mystery books. Executive producers are/were George R.R. Martin and Robert Redford. Authentic portrayal of life on the rez in the early `70's, lots of Native Americans involved in all facets of production, and the filming locations of Monument Valley and other tribal lands are stunning. I like Zahn McClarnon a lot.

Collision - 2009 British 5-part TV series. Interesting premise for a mini-series...the aftermath of a big pile-up on the highway, and how the lives of everyone intersect.

i can only watch scenes from his shows. and yeah - there are some great scenes. but when I’ve tried to watch whole episodes, i come away thinking he’s basically a misogynist. most of his female characters are ridiculous caricatures. the men too, i guess. but that’s my bias.

Half way through this and it is excellent.

Had no idea that was Russell Crowe; he is very convincing.

Malek is superb as usual.

Hmmmm, Guess I should read more of the "Classic's".

And with respect to: "Very lovely to look at, too". Ana Girardot, yes she is. :)

Well, I was talking about the landscape, incredible lighting, the ships at sea, architecture of the amazing homes, clothing...that sort of thing, but yeah, some of the actors are pretty easy on the eyes :laughing
