What equipment did that InBody scan use? Fancy scale with electrical contacts on feet and hands?
20% BF is probably healthy and good looking for most adult males. People often have a really skewed idea of body fat percentage. Our ideas of what looks good and what is healthy can be way off. And everyone is very diff with how/where we carry that fat and how that impacts looks and health. Here’s a cool vid I found a while ago that tries to shed some light on it. The problem is especially bad for women.
those aren't bad numbers at all IMO, Dion...especially as active as you are. 1500 Test...are you taking anything or that's all natural? That's H as F!

Good post Dion....best one I've read on TRT. Eventually, every guy who cares is gonna end up on TRT and like you said: Women have been doing estrogen (And testosterone) programs for decades. My entire goal is to wait as long as I can to go the TRT route...keep things natural as long as possible cause once we go on it (at our age), there's no going off.
Aromatase. That's why they're on it.
I'll be bugging you when the time comes If that's ok. You're well educated on the T arena. Best to ask my questions to you cause we're near the same age....but hoping that'll be a long while.
So, a medical doctor didn't give you the answer you wanted about how you were feeling. You doctor shopped until you found the treatment you wanted and are posting to tell us all you aren't "cheating" even though you have a test level three times higher than that of men in their 30's. You also make a case that you might have CTE and used PED's in the past. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you Dion. (You would easily kick my ass and my only real hope would be to outrun you) but, I'm also not going to pretend I didn't just read what I read.Oh it's totally natural
Hell no, sir. I started on TRT when I was 48. When I first got tested, I had a T level of 385. And of course, the PCP was like, "oH tHat'S ToTaLLy n0rMaL FiR a mAn yEr aGe!!" And I'm like, "neeya, don't give me no bullshiiiizzzz". I didn't want to feel like an old man, I wanted to feel well.
At first I went to a "wholistic" doctor who got me on a weird detox thing and a artichoke tea diet(?). I lost weight, and I retook my labs and came in a gigantic 534! Woohoo! Time to hit the nightclub scene, gents!
I got a prescription through an anti-aging clinic and moving out of state, went with another provider.
I fucked up my endocrine system when I was competing in bodybuilding at a young age, and with all the head trauma I experienced, I wasn't right for years. I had a serious head injury where I fell to the concrete from 8ft. up filming a BMX trick in 2014. I wasn't wearing a helmet, but the impact was so bad, I still would've been concussed really bad. I wasn't right for years after that. I was really confused why I had suicidal ideation night and day, and always angry.
Of course, I hit my head again on a miniramp weeks later (this time with a helmet), and then coming home from boxing with headaches and dizziness. I was doing this in my mid-40's. It's kinda why I stay away from striking sparring these days.
With TRT, the first thing I felt was emotional balance. It was like a darkness was lifted and I had clarity and I felt well. The body composition came along with it, but I'd say the best thing about TRT was feeling like a man again, and not all depressed and suicidal and beta-male. It was a game changer for sure, and so much better, happier, balanced, clear and my energy is stupendous. I'm not all weird and emotional nor do I suffer from anxiety. I don't know why men shy away from it. Stuff got such a bad rap in the whole steroid thing. I took real steroids, and they didn't do what TRT does. Real steroids make you feel like Superman, this just makes you feel like NormalMan.
When women have hormonal changes, there are a lot of medical resources for that. When men start to drop in testosterone, everyone says "it's normal" and that man often times goes through a lot. And then people say it' "cheating". It's not cheating, it's wellness, and I recommend all older men to take a look into it.
My body is dying. I'm in the last 3rd of my lifespan and then I'm dead (if I live long). If I can go into my golden years feeling well, I'm gonna do it with science backed medical help. Otherwise, I'm destined to get old, feeble, weak, and getting into arguments on Facebook (or BARF) about Trump.
*my GF is 17 years younger than me, an athlete, dancer, yoga chick, runner, sweetheart, and a raging 10 with long jet black hair down to her waist, so TRT!
A testosterone level as high as 1500 ng/dL is most commonly attributed to external factors rather than natural bodily overproduction. The most prevalent cause for such significantly elevated levels is the use of exogenous testosterone, which includes unmonitored testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) or the abuse of anabolic steroids. Anabolic steroids are synthetic forms of testosterone often used to enhance muscle mass and athletic performance...Discovering a testosterone level of 1500 ng/dL necessitates immediate consultation with a healthcare professional, such as an endocrinologist or urologist. Self-treatment or ignoring such a significantly elevated level is not advisable due to the associated health risks.
While higher testosterone levels can bring performance benefits, they also pose several health risks. A testosterone level of 1500 ng/dL, particularly if maintained for an extended period, may contribute to cardiovascular strain, increased hematocrit, and potential disruptions in metabolic function. One of the primary concerns is the impact on cardiovascular health, as elevated testosterone levels have been associated with increased red blood cell production, which can thicken the blood and raise the risk of stroke and heart attack.
